Roxy Music DVD + Eno joins the gov't

This week, Roxy Music release their definitive visual document The Thrill Of It All, a double DVD set featuring rare concert footage, television appearances and videos, all taken from their peak decade of '72 to '82. I saw them a few years ago at Radio City Music Hall and they've always encapsulated a lot of what I love about music: glam, art rock , new wave, great songs, sexy-weird album covers, all shot through with Bryan Ferry's suave romanticism. Plus their album Avalon was hands-down the make out record of the '80s, although I was too scared of girls at the time to really take advantage of that. More info on the DVD collection here.

In related news, producer and ex-Roxy member Brian Eno (pictured) joins the UK Liberal Democrat party as ‘Youth Adviser’. Check the piece in the Guardian here. Meanwhile, rumors of a new Roxy Music album continue to swirl..
